Description
At first, this is just an idea.
I'm looking to a way to upload esphome on new shelly with OTA.
I was wondering if instead of trying to get rid of Mongoose OS, it would not be a good idea to have an additional platform support in esphome that use Mongoose.
In first implementation, it could use the arduino compat layer, then progressively it could integrate the scheduler and components implementation that comes from moongose.
Progressivelly, it could replace completely the core of esphome and then support other than esp mcu.
Given the number of commercial products using Moongose, it would greatly simplify the move to ESPHome.
What do you think ?

Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Begin by assessing how ESPHome could upload to new Shelly devices over OTA through Mongoose OS and define the scope of an additional platform using the Arduino compatibility layer; done would require a working Mongoose OS platform, with the longer-term scheduler, components, and broader MCU support still left as future work.
