ESPHome connecting to HA over the internet from remote location

ESPHome connecting to HA over the internet.

**Please describe your use case for this integration and alternatives you've tried:**
I have the office away from my home (HA-server ) I would like to ESPHome control an outlet, light, ETC in my office based on my home (HA-server ) .

**Additional context**
I know we can do this via MQTT,, I'm looking for a native API like a local setup solution
