Description

I.e. use https://mui.com/components/drawers/ instead of current implementation? This might solve the problem of e.g. long names in smart node selector. And slightly reduce code to maintain at the same time?

Research direction

Start by locating the current filter-menu implementation and the smart node selector. Compare its behavior with the MUI Drawer documentation, focusing on whether long names are handled better and whether the implementation can be simplified. Done means the filter menu retains its existing behavior, handles long names acceptably, and has a clear maintenance benefit.
