X axis and Y axis label text not show on top of the plot.

Description
Hello,
As of today X axis label and Y axis label are behind the shapes/points.
It's best if they are on top. A little blur effect behind each label would be great also to make sure that the values are readable.
I will be proposing a PR for that if everyone is happy.
