Description
**Describe the bug**
I noticed that the [latest release](https://github.com/emilk/egui/releases/tag/0.35.0) is not part of `main`, even though it's not marked as a pre-release.
**To Reproduce**
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
1. Go to https://github.com/emilk/egui/releases/tag/0.35.0
2. Click on the tag/commit
3. Observe "This commit does not belong to any branch on this repository, and may belong to a fork outside of the repository."
**Expected behavior**
The latest release should be part of the repository and in `main`, even if it is a pre-release.

Research direction
Start by inspecting the 0.35.0 release page and its tag/commit, then compare that commit with the current main branch history. Determine whether the release tag is expected to be reachable from main and identify the repository release process involved. Done means the tag relationship is corrected or the release behavior is clearly explained.
