Date Picker Feature Addition

When working with the date picker would it be possible to add a toggle to the circle that shows up for current day, so it is relative to a time we set or can be removed entirely? Perhaps there is a way to do this already, but I'm not sure how I would do it.

Determine whether the feature should accept a configurable reference time, support disabling the indicator, or both; confirm the intended API and behavior before implementation.
