Problem with ember-data and fastboot for 3.9

I'm cross posting this from https://github.com/emberjs/data/issues/5998 just so that everyone who should know about it does 👍

Essentially as soon as you install ember-cli-fastboot in a brand newly generated ember app (using `ember new`) things don't work any more:

> Could not find module `fetch` imported from `ember-data/adapters/rest`

I don't know if this is related to https://github.com/ember-fastboot/ember-cli-fastboot/issues/588 or not? 🤔
