[ENH] Allow activities inputs and outcomes to be connected from any direction

### Proposed Enhancement
Activities inputs always come from the left and outcomes always leave from the right, for neater workflow, inputs and outcomes can be connected from any side, or can be rotated by the user, so e.g. inputs can be connected from top and outcomes can leave from the bottom.
