Description

## **Context**
In the CSPT website, it would be convenient to have information about the club/meeting. This purpose of this issue is to document the need for an about section or page inside of the website. For filler text or design ideas you are free to use ChatGPT or other generative AI.

## **Helpful resources:**
These are some resources that I found may be helpful while developing in Next.js, feel free to choose any of them depending on your preferred learning methods or use whatever you feel is most beneficial.
* [Next.js documentation on routing](https://nextjs.org/docs/app/building-your-application/routing/defining-routes) (e.g. /about)
* Next.js video overview ([TraversyMedia](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6KDk5iyrYE&ab_channel=TraversyMedia))
* Long but detailed video, likely will only need the first sections.
* Introduction to HTML and CSS ([TheOdinProject](https://www.theodinproject.com/lessons/foundations-introduction-to-html-and-css))
* Project-based course to build foundations in full-stack web development. Intro to HTML and CSS cover what they are and how to use them while following best practices.
* HTML and CSS crash course ([NetNinja](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hu-q2zYwEYs&ab_channel=NetNinja))
* Video series about HTML and CSS.
* Color schemes ([TailwindCSS](https://tailwindcss.com/docs/customizing-colors))
* If we choose to apply a different color scheme to this website it may help to pick an already existing color palette for consistency. This resource includes the hexcodes of each color for us to use.
* If we choose to stick with Elon colors, we should be precise in our colors. Here is the website detailing the hexcodes or RGB values for the maroon and gold. ([Elon](https://www.elon.edu/u/university-communications/identity/colors/))
* [Figma](https://www.figma.com/)
* Figma is a resource that provides a platform to prototype designs rapidly.

## **Inspiration/Reference Designs**
These were generated with DALL-E but you can also use any other resources you find or create whatever design you want.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the existing Next.js routing structure and current site entry points, then decide whether the club information belongs in a new /about route or an About section. Done means the website publishes clear club or meeting information in a responsive design, with the final content and visual direction agreed rather than left entirely open.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.
