Brilliant Plugin - but is there a way to trigger the open feature from a shortcode or link?

Great plugin. I would like the option to have the window icon hidden. And when the user clicks on a shortcode it will open the navigation. This can be done with a shortcode or a html onclick link, but i cannot work it out.
