Description

I've installed elementaryOS Juno in VirtaulBox (5.2.22). Booting from the ISO worked fine and I could run the installer.

After the installation finished and the system rebooted I got a totally disordered picture which prevented me from seeing anything. I could fix this by turning on 3D support in the VM settings.

After installing the Guest Utilities for Virtual Box the VM crashed on the next reboot. I had to turn of 3D support again.

I am not sure if this is a Virtual Box issue or connected to elementaryOS / gala (or both). But since I do not have these issues with plain Ubuntu nor Debian nor Windows (all running in a VM), I thought I start here.
