Is there a way to change the default system sound effects?

The sound files method works, but I'm looking for easier and safer way to do it, so I'm asking is there a way to do it better?

EDIT: My further investigation showed that you can make a folder with custom sound effects like the `elementary` folder and change the org.gnome.desktop.sound.theme-name to the folder name, and it will work

EDIT2: Why some (a lot) of those sound effects aren't working?? I'm naming those sound files according to the [freedesktop specification](http://0pointer.de/public/sound-naming-spec.html), so why they aren't working??
