Maintain volume levels for individual apps across sessions

I often adjust the volume for apps individually, so that I can play music (for example) without being interrupted by sounds from other apps. Currently, after I reboot my machine or log out, the volume state for individual apps is reset, so I have to go back into switchboard and change these again.

It would be great if volume settings for individual apps could be maintained across sessions. I hope this feature can be added in a future release.
