Reconnect failed VPN connections

After a VPN connection fails, the connection dies with notification that's easy to miss, and the system doesn't try to reconnect. It would be great if there was an option to reconnect to VPN after connection fails.

Also, there should be an option to have the connection autostarted as soon as network is up. Even better yet, an option so that system doesn't allow any networking until VPN is up and running, to increase security, and prevent possible leaks.
