I'm not able to turn on the laptop's display

I have got a laptop.
I connected it to a monitor.
In the settings menu I turned off the integrated display of the laptop and turned on the monitor's display.
Now I am not able to turn on the laptop's display.
The switch ON/OFF always stay OFF.
