Wingpanel shows that I'm connected to a known WiFI connection but it is not

After login in and by default, my Wingpanel shows that I'm connected to a WiFi connection that exists and is within the range but the connection is not established. Every time I login I have to manually disable the latch and reenabling the latch to perform the connection.
