Missing AppStream cache on first run

Not sure if this belongs here or on AppCenter or elsewhere, but we're missing an AppStream cache on the first run. This means we don't have any curated AppCenter apps to show, which leaves a bad first impression. I wonder if we can include some sort of cache so we're starting with _something_ on first boot instead of nothing.
