Reduce intensity of past events

An optional Google calendar setting I like to help reduce noise and as a signal for where "now" is on the calendar: "reduce the brightness of past events." (It actually decreases the saturation and lightens them up, it looks like.)

This helps reiterate that those things are in the past and does reduce some visual noise which is nice.
