Failed payment is removing the payment button on install page

When I attempted to pay for an application within AppCenter, my credit card information failed to allow payment of the application. However, when I stopped trying to pay by clicking on the Cancel button in the window indicating that there was an error processing payment, after the application was installed on my system, the payment button was no longer displayed on the installation page of AppCenter -- an indication that I have previously paid for the application (which I have not).

This occurred when I was attempting to pay for an upgraded an application that I had previously installed on my system (Quilter and Snippet Pixie to be specific).
