Hi folks,
Thank you very much for your good work at matrix and Riot.im, which I really appreciate. You all have done a great job!
I really don't want to offend someone, but I find the icon of Riot.im quite ugly. First of all I know I am only one random guy having that opinion and other people might find the Riot-icon nice. But a few friends of mine also agree that this nice app would need a better icon. Secondly I know exactly that changing one brand's icon is changing the brand itself. That is a very sensitive topic. So don't mindunderstand me: I don't want to force you anywhere.
Butr after two hours and talking with a friend I created an icon, which I use now on my MacOS for Riot and it works quite well for me - in the dock as well as in the notifications.

That new icon is CC-BY licensed (by matias porta lezcano and Rasmus Fuhse). The fist is [an icon from the noun project](https://thenounproject.com/term/fist/25439/). I just wrapped it in an R and fixed the color. All messengers at MacOS seem to be blue, so I took almost the same color.
Just take it as a contribution or an inspiration or simply ignore it. It's up to you.
