Description
### Steps to reproduce
1. Invite users to a room
2. Discover that when you hit the add button, the text in the search filter doesn’t get removed; you have to manually delete it
3. Discover there is zero local (or remote?) echo of the memberlist to show the invite worked. You expect to see an “invited” section in the memberslist or similar, but it’s not there.
