Description

### Steps to reproduce

1. Where are you starting? What can you see?
Element X Android App is *closed*. New messgage comes in. Mobile phone plays sound. Desktop screen shows message in Android Notification Panel.

2. What do you click?
Touching the message in the Android Notification Panel.

3. More steps…
Element X Android App *opens*.

### Outcome

#### What did you expect?

Element X Android App shall *either* show the contact list having *a notification badge* marking the sending contact, *or* it shall directly navigate to the new message, showing *a notification badge* on the unread message.

#### What happened instead?

Element X Android App shows the contact list, but there are *no* notification badges shown. Effectively I do not know who sent the messgage, so to see the message, I need to touch *each* contact in the list and scroll down to the end to finally learn what the new message was. 🙁

Research direction

No source files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by reproducing the scenario on a Samsung S22 running Android 15 with the app closed, then trace what happens when the notification is tapped. Done means the opened app identifies the sending contact or unread message with a notification badge.
