text-formatting: newly converted list items are selected but not shown to be

### Steps to reproduce

1. Im in a room and have at least one line of text in my text-input field. Text-formatting is active.
2. select a line in the composer
3. choose one of the two list options in the formatter-bar
4. press enter on the keyboard

### Outcome

#### What did you expect?

Either:
A: The list item stays in place, and I get a new line.
B: After converting the line to a list item, it is visibly selected. The whole line is replaced by a return and newline when I press the Enter key.

#### What happened instead?

The new list item disappears, even though it was not visibly selected.
