Android app can't connect, but PC browser works

### Steps to reproduce

1. Try Connect from Android
2. It fails
3. Try from PC (Chrome)
4. It works

Error details on Android:

> We couldn't reach this homeserver. Please check that you have entered the homeserver URL correctly. If the URL is correct, contact your homeserver administrator for further help.
> [OK]

Server logs are empty, I'm using ESS version of the server.

Additionally, in yesterday’s chat with this person, since today I see a “!” mark next to each of their messages, with the text “Encrypted by a device not verified by its owner” appearing on hover. Yesterday there were no such badges. I don’t see such badges in other chats either.
