Unread filter containing a mix of read and unread rooms

### Steps to reproduce

1. Click on the _Unreads_ filter
2. See a mix of read and unread rooms in the list

### Outcome

#### What did you expect?
Just rooms with unread messages to appear in the filtered roomlist list

#### What happened instead?
The "Unreads" filter doesn't always work. Rooms with green dots frequently appear mixed with rooms that don't have green dots that don't have any new messages visible.

Perhaps relatedly, there are also was also a large delay (20+ seconds?) between when a notification would come in and show the new message in the chat list vs. when the actual message would be readable in the room. This was happening at the same time as the Unreads filter issue above.
