Is it possible to accept an email invite if you're using Element Desktop?

I haven't received many email invites since switching to Element Desktop exclusively, so it hasn't come up before.

The invite linked me to a https://riot.im/app/#.... link which from Thunderbird opened in Firefox. That firefox session is still logging in while I file this issue.

I don't know if it's possible to associate domains with the desktop application in a way that woulld make this 'just work' - if not, having the email include code I can paste in to the app would be fine, or, worst case, just updating the copy of the email to advise me that email invites can only be claimed in the web app would save me a few seconds staring blankly at the screen wondering how to proceed.
