### Steps to reproduce
1. Install element-desktop on arch for X11
2. Login to element-desktop on X11
3. Change to wayland
### Outcome
#### What did you expect?
I expected connectivity to be the same between wayland and X11.
#### What happened instead?
On Wayland, the desktop app was unable to connect to matrix servers, giving a connectivity error.
### Additional Information
After running `env -u element-desktop` and logging in, I was able to run in XWayland fine (but had to re-verify the device). After running this, element worked as normal in wayland.
