Some hotkeys are not working on Linux / Kubuntu #1372

### Steps to reproduce

This bug continues element-hq/element-desktop#1372 which contained the wrong release information and was therefore closed.
(sorry for the redundancy, but it seems that element-hq/element-desktop#1372 will not be reopened)

1. Install the release with the instruction from https://element.io/download#linux on Kubuntu Linux (22.04 or 23.10)
2. Start application
3. Wait for a unread message in a room
4. Try to mark a room read by entering the "ESC" key
5. The room still has a unread messages counter

### Outcome

Hotkeys are not working on Kubuntu.
Only some of the hotkeys listed in the settings are working.

But the most important are not working (examples):

- Jump to oldest unread message: Shift + Page Up
- Dismiss read marker and jump to bottom : ESC

### Operating system

Kubuntu 23.10 or 22.04
