Flickering on hover over the event bar

### Steps to reproduce

1. Move mouse over event, bar appears
2. Move mouse to edge of one of the buttons
3. There's a very thin edge around the buttons where there seems to be a race between trying to interact with the button and not yet trying to interact with the button

No flickering.
