Description

### Steps to reproduce

1. Where are you starting? What can you see?
Before I had element version 1.11.104, I had to manually turn off hardware acceleration because my laptop does not have a dedicated GPU.
2. What do you click?
I clicked on "preferences" and turn the "enable hardware acceleration" button off
3. More steps…
Then I updated to element version 1.11.104

### Outcome

#### What did you expect?
I expect that the "enable hardware acceleration" button still remain turned off indefinitely (unless I reinstall element)
#### What happened instead?
Instead, when opening Element 1.11.104, the app not only turned the "enable hardware acceleration" button back on but it kept turning back this button on even if I had to manually turn it back off and restart the application.
