Description
### Steps to reproduce
Hello,
I've tried to upgrade my Element app after upgrading Ubuntu from 20.04 to 24.04:
1. Version 1.11.76 was running on 20.04 without problems - installed from .deb (https://element.io/de/download#linux ).
2. I upgraded Ubuntu by wiping the system partition, but retaining `/home` and `/opt` (incl. `~/.config/Element` and `/opt/Element`)
3. I installed Element, again using the same instructions: https://element.io/de/download#linux ; version 1.12.7 was unpacked on top of my pre-existing installation in `/opt/Element`
4. Upon startup, the application displays the "Unable to restore session" screen and prompts me to either Clear the storage or Send logs - see the attachment.
Luckily, I had a backup of `/opt/Element` from my previous OS. After restoring it by completely overwriting the new Element installation at `/opt/Element`, I got a working application in version 1.11.76, with all past conversations etc.
Then, I tried again to install 1.12.7 - to do an upgrade rather than a "fresh" install (if you don't count the .config dir). The effect is the same - I get the "Unable to restore session" screen.
### Outcome
I'd like to be able to upgrade the Element app seamlessly, without losing the history of conversations.
Thank you for your time!
