Messages for the last hour are not shown, new messages are also not shown even though they are sent

### Steps to reproduce

1. Start Element Desktop.
2. The messages for the past hour are not shown.
3. If I send messages, they appear as sent on the screen, but disappear a couple of seconds after that as if they were never sent.
4. Nothing helps, apart from the restart.
5. Restarting Element Desktop **sometimes** helps, so I can see all the messages, including those that I sent and that disappeared right after sending.
6. Restarting **does not always help**. Sometimes I have to restart a couple of times in the hope that it gets fixed.

This issue is fairly recent, but appeared 3 times already within the past 2 days.

Messages displayed.

#### What happened instead?

No messages are displayed. New messages that I'm sending are only shown for a couple of seconds and disappear as if they were never sent (although they are sent, the other side sees them). When this happens, the messenger becomes unusable 😔 So far I could only solve it by trying to restart a couple of times.

Also, it shows notifications as if I receive new messages, but I don't see them.
