Random messages disappearing

### Steps to reproduce

Impossible. Completely random.

### Outcome

Some messages are hidden from a room's timeline.
I notice because if I open other instances of EW I can see them whilst on my ED I don't.

Check these screenshots: same room has different messages in it.
none of them has the full set.
