No visible feedback when re-joining a room after being kicked from it

### Steps to reproduce

1. Get kicked from a room
2. Open the room again
3. Try to rejoin it by clicking on the "Re-join" button

### Outcome

#### What did you expect?

Something happens in the UI to let me know that the client has sent a join request.

#### What happened instead?

Nothing happens visually, but the join request is still sent.
