Description

### Steps to reproduce

When clicking on notifications, it jumps to them (though not always) but doesn't highlight them well enough to make them obvious, especially in a long conversation, so it didn't seem to be working properly because I didn't see it. Also, I have a couple notifications in a room, and at first when I clicked on the first one it took me to it, then when I clicked on the second one it took me to that, but after working properly a couple times, now every time I click on the first one it jumps above it slightly. Every time I switch out of the room and back, it works once (if that) then doesn't work after that. And when I scrolled all the way down and tried again, first it didn't jump at all, then they both jumped to above the proper point, so it's random as to whether it works or not and, if it doesn't work, whether it doesn't jump at all or it jumps too far.

Additionally, if I click the first notification so it jumps to that message, and the other message for the other notification is also visible (it's just a couple messages down), when I click the second notification it shifts slightly to bring the second message closer to center, but then when I click the first one again it flickers, appearing to jump to the message, then back to how it was after clicking the second notification, then back to the first message again. And if I scroll down a bit so they're offscreen, clicking on the first notification does nothing, but clicking on the second works, or vice-versa. It's really just erratic and all over the place.

### Outcome

#### What did you expect?
For it to consistently go to the message for the notification when the notification is clicked, and for it to be obvious, i.e. for that message to be highly visible.

#### What happened instead?
Sometimes it goes to the message, sometimes it goes above it, and sometimes it does nothing, and the message isn't very prominent.
