Expand/collapse buttons for space explorer are way too tiny

### Your use case

These things are impossible to click with a touchpad:


and a single mis-click takes you to a space you really weren't interested in, and loses all the state of what you'd collapsed.

("collapse/expand all" buttons would be helpful too.)
