Description

### Your use case

### Turn off notifications, COMPLETELY

It's already useful, as is standard for chat applications, to be able to mute notifications. But something that myself and many others face is that we're drawn to check messages in rooms anyway, because of the little dots beside them. It would be nice to be able to not just make notifications *audially* muted but *visually too*.
I know there used to be a Do Not Disturb button in the Nightly version and I used to use that; I think it would be beneficial for such a feature to be extended to allow for the hiding of *any* sign of new messages.

#### What would you like to do?

The option to mute notifications *visually*, hiding the new message dots beside rooms.

#### Why would you like to do it?

Even when muting notifications, the dots entice one to check the messages anyway.

#### How would you like to achieve it?

Perhaps with specific configuration of the Do Not Disturb feature, or notifications in general.

### Have you considered any alternatives?

Temporarily leaving all rooms. There are obvious downsides to this method.
