### Steps to reproduce
@jsparber and I are both members of #community:matrix.org and #community:gnome.org, but I don’t see our DM in the People section when I switch to these spaces. I do see him in Home in the People section. I have tried to clear cache and it didn’t change a thing.
### Outcome
My DM with Julian should be visible in People for the two spaces.
