Description

### Steps to reproduce

![image](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/1342360/143916624-063cff0e-65b6-426c-82f7-42f2c83281c7.png)

(then lots of discussion further down in the timeline)

I got quite confused when I got an invite for a room that I was sure already existed in another form - yet I couldn't find that other room in my room list.

Turns out that this new room was the old room, upgraded. That's why I couldn't find the old room. I had missed the message about this room being a continuation of a previous room, I *believe* because it was far up in the timeline (above the new room copy).

### Outcome

#### What did you expect?

To not be confused.

#### What happened instead?

I was confused and had to ask in the room about what happened. How foolish I looked!
