Sometimes it's impossible to click the "reply" button to reply to a message

### Steps to reproduce

Sometimes when I try to reply to someone's message, clicking the reply button doesn't work.

- Sometimes, I can just barely hover over the reply button without the mouse "sliding off" (that's how it feels) and then the message above the message I'm trying to is highlighted instead, and the reply button for the message I want to reply to disappears
- Sometimes, I can hover over the reply button just fine, but when I click it the message above is selected instead.

I don't know how to reproduce it reliably, but it happens relatively frequently. I've tried recording it, but alt-tabbing to another window seems to sometimes "fix it".

#### What did you expect?
To be able to reply to a message.

The message above the message I want to reply to is highlighted instead.
