Sometimes missing previous room data after room upgrade

### Steps to reproduce

1. Be in a room with of an older version than the newest one
2. Upgrade the room
3. Join the new and shiny upgraded room
4. Verify that you can't see a button to see older messages from the old room.

### What happened?

The what did I expect appeared after I restarted the Element client, before that I had the view from "What happened".
Seems that it's not consistent, as some of the users on this channel are reporting that it doesn't work for them, some report that it properly shows the button to see old messages or the room logo with it's topic.
