Currently, on low resolution screens, or when the Element windows is narrow, opening the notifications/room info panes squeezes the main chat area. This can drastically reduce the usability of the app, by having messages span multiple lines.
**Describe the solution you'd like**
When the Element window is under a certain width, the notifications/room info panes should slide as an overlay over the main chat area instead of reducing its width.
