When you open the app, if you have the notifs panel open what it says makes no sense.

It says this:

> **You're all caught up.**
>
> You have no visible notifications in this room.

Once you switch rooms it updates with the proper list of notifications.

But the main issue is the wording:
- notifs aren't displayed per-room in the notif panel - they're global
- having no notifs doesn't mean you're all caught up - they aren't dismissed when read. It just means nobody's ever notified you
