Suggestion: a testing suite or bot that end users with minimal tech skills could run

I find it the performance of Element-web on my older devices almost unusably slow and laggy. I don't have the coding skills to fix that myself. If there was a way that end users with minimal technical skills could help, I would leap at the chance.

Would it be possible to develop a test suite that users could run on their own devices, eg by visiting a website or joining a matrix chat with a testing bot, that would give Element devs granular feedback on exactly why Element is running slowly or lagging on their device? I guess it would do a similar thing to Firefox telemetry, but I like the idea of making it something users can initiate when they choose, as a contribution to the improvement of the software they use.
