Description

Super frustrating being stuck in modal interactions when waiting on federation lag etc.
In this specific instance, it'd be great for the web client to let the user continue to the room, with some kind of contextual feedback (timeline? user list?) that invitations are pending, possibly re-enforced by an ephemeral toast notification which auto dismisses once completed.
As we expand toasts, we should have chat about the technical feasibility and related implications for this kind of UX and then use toasts more advantageously moving forward.
