Everyone appears offline

### Steps to reproduce

1. Where are you starting? What can you see?

I have 3 macOS computers and an android phone. I just recevied a new macbook pro with an M1 chip and installed element desktop for work.

3. What do you click?

Open browser. Login to our own server, verify devices, see the messages and user list.

### Outcome

#### What did you expect?

Same behaviour across computers/platforms/applications. Some people online, some offline.

#### What happened instead?

In the two mac with intel CPU, I use the element application and I see people in my team as online (green circle) and some offline (gray circle). Same for the phone.

In my macbook pro with an M1 chip, they are all offline. I was also wondering why a colleague that has an M1 mac appears always as offline.

Just installed element desktop. I also tried using element web (with Brave browser). Both Macbook pro (M1 and intel) shows everyone as offline. In the same macbook with intel CPU, the element desktop app shows people online/offline properly.
