Description
It would be very helpful, if I could announce in all chat rooms, that I'm temporarily not available to participate because of reasons like "at lunch", "in a phone call", ...
The best way to do that would be to mark my Avatar similar to changing its color when I'm offline (#4199), but without the actual need to sign off. The status information could be displayed at least when hovering over the Avatar instead of the current texts "Online" or "Offline Xs ago".
It should be possible to write the status message (a reasonable maximum length of that text makes sense). Further optional features:
* have a predefined list of status messages to choose from
* possibility to add to / edit the predefined list of status messages
* possibility to define a small icon for each message in the predefined list which would be displayed as overlay to the avatar

Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points; begin by defining the client scope and reviewing the existing online/offline avatar and hover-status behavior. Done requires an agreed scope for arbitrary status text, its length limit, and display behavior, with optional presets and icons explicitly decided.
