Description
### Your use case
Description
The recent Element Web interface uses "Remove this session" instead of the previous "Sign out" option.
While technically correct from a Matrix session perspective, this wording is confusing for regular users. Most users understand "Sign out" or "Log out" as the action to leave their account on the current device or browser.
Current behavior
Users need to go to:
Settings → Security & Privacy → Sessions → Remove this session
to log out from the current session.
Expected behavior
Please consider bringing back the "Sign out" button, or use a clearer label such as:
Sign out
Sign out this device
Sign out (Remove this session)
This would make the interface easier to understand, especially for organizations deploying Element Web to non-technical users.
Impact
For self-hosted Matrix deployments and organizations with many users, the current wording may cause confusion because users may not realize that "Remove this session" is the logout function.
Thank you for considering this usability improvement.

Research direction
Start in Element Web at Settings → Security & Privacy → Sessions and inspect the current-session action labeled “Remove this session.” Confirm the intended wording with the issue’s alternatives, then verify that the current-session logout action presents the clearer label and remains understandable to regular users.
