Description

Your use case
What would you like to do?

I want to have the ability to configure the Noisy notifications not only per room type (one-to-one, group, encrypted) but on a per-room basis too.

Why would you like to do it?

I want to receive noisy notifications (with sound) not only for one-to-one rooms but for the limited list of group rooms too.

Yes, now I can configure a custom sound for the room, but I don't want to choose a specific sound for each room, just reuse the default one. All I want is to receive noisy notifications from several group chats.

Also, I want to turn off Noisy notifications for specific one-to-one rooms too.

How would you like to achieve it?

Add the option "Noise" to the "Notification options" dropdown menu of the room, and to the room Notifications settings.

Have you considered any alternatives?

Research direction

Start from the room’s “Notification options” dropdown and the room Notifications settings described in the issue. Trace how notification preferences currently distinguish room types and custom sounds, then verify that a per-room “Noise” choice can enable or disable sound while reusing the default sound for the selected rooms.
