Research direction

No file or test is named. Reproduce the issue during initial syncing on an iPhone 12 Pro with iOS 15.5, then inspect the available logs and notification behavior when the app is backgrounded. Done means initial sync does not create empty notifications and tapping a notification opens the intended content rather than a blank page.
